Sencha Sofu Ryougochi

Sofu is a rare tea cultivar that has a unique aroma like jasmine.

This tea grows on a steep tea plantation at 350 meters/1150 ft. above sea level, where a sea of clouds spreads out below. Jiro Katahira, a young and passionate tea farmer, harvested tender leaves in spring, and carefully turned them into beautiful needle-shaped tea using small and more traditional and authentic tea processing machines than the ones used for mass-produced tea.
